Polestar is widely known for its electric cars, but for its latest project, the Swedish automaker shifts its focus to sustainable travel. Designed by Kristian Talvitie, the Koja is a winning submission from the 2021 Polestar Design Contest and has recently been realized in the village of Fiskars. The micro space tree house is built using sustainable materials and is anchored to a tree trunk in the forest. With an entirely glazed facade, the glass pod immerses guests in the surrounding nature, allowing them to experience nature without ever leaving the cabin. It’s currently on display as part of the “House by an Architect” exhibition at the Fiskars Village Art & Design Biennale, running until September 2022.
