When building the Eames House in 1949, the iconic design duo took extra consideration to preserves the land’s numerous Eucalyptus trees. Today, their conservation efforts live on through the Eames Eucalyptus LTR Table. The piece utilizes Charles and Ray’s original 1950 design — a table used to furnish the couple’s own home — featuring a low rod base and a wooden surface. Traditionally made from plywood, the special edition release comes with a top made from two trees harvested from the Los Angeles property during a recent preservation project. Created in partnership with Herman Miller and Vitra, the table is limited to roughly 600 examples.
