Getting off the grid doesn’t mean taking a bulky SUV or camper — especially if you like to fly solo. Ducati’s redesigned Multistrada V4 gives you the best of both worlds, with modern tech that makes it a great long-distance cruiser and the toughness to tackle trails when the pavement ends. At the center of the Multistrada V4 is a new V4 Granturismo motor that using a design honed on the track with Ducati’s MotoGP team. Making 170 horsepower and a flat 92 lb-ft of torque, the V4 can go over 9,000 miles between oil changes and nearly 40,000 between timing adjustments. The frame is a lightweight aluminum monocoque design with a double-sided swingarm and adjustable rear monoshock and front fork. Optional is a radar system that allows adaptive cruise control and blindspot monitoring, and wheelie, skid, traction and stability control are also on hand. Five models are available throughout the range and will be arriving in dealers by the end of the year.
