With BMW bringing Alpina under its corporate banner, Alpina now has full access to bring even more performance to BMW’s lineup of autos. The Alpina XB7 will be arriving in North America after its European debut in 2022, with 630 horsepower and updated styling. A new 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 and mild-hybrid system power the XB7, good for a 0-60 time of 3.9 seconds and a top speed of 180 MPH. All four wheels are driven through a strengthened eight-speed automatic and rear limited-slip differential, with all-wheel steering, active roll control, and Alpin-tuned air suspension standard. Brembo provides four-piston calipers to bring everything to a stop. Inside are an Alpina-exclusive steering wheel and interior trim, along with electronic touches like a GPS-based maneuverability system that records up to 10 maneuvers and then executes them automatically — for things like tight parking spaces or driveways.
